For years, I wore old athletic shoes to mow my lawn and work in the yard. My feet would get soggy in the mornings, I'd slip on hills because the tread was worn, the rips in the old shoes would allow grass all over my feet.
I searched for a better option, with no luck (I find work boots too heavy, uncomfortable, and lacking ventilation). I decided I should just create this – the ultimate all-purpose yard shoe. I've spent the last 3 years researching & developing what makes the ideal yard shoe: comfortable, breathable, good grip, water-resistant, lightweight, durable.
I like working in my yard. I love shoes. But enjoying your backyard with your friends, family, neighbors – that's the best. That's what Kujo Yardwear is all about; keeping your yard in shape, so you can enjoy it with others. I decided to foster a brand, a company, a culture that not only offered a solution, but engaged homeowners who take pride and joy in their yards.
I've teamed with some of the best talent in the footwear industry, and we're in the development phase now. Our goal is to have the final samples complete in April. We will launch the product to the world with a Kickstarter campaign around the start of June, and we'll keep you posted with updates along the way.
